Fresh wind with Chorus sine nomine

`Tuuli’, the Finnish word for ‘wind’, is the name given by the Chorus Sine Nomine to the impressive evening during which a fresh, new wind blew through the well occupied Middle Hall of the Brucknerhaus. A choir standing in file? Not the Chorus Sine Nomine and its conductor Johannes Hiemetsberger who founded the ensemble twenty years ago!

With Ela Baumann’s easy but striking choreography, the nameless choir transforms into a singing and moving (both literally and figuratively) crowd that brings life to the stage. The pieces presented are varied in style and vividly interpreted. They are weaved together with percussion insertions in flowing transitions – insertions in which Ingrid Oberkanins kind of makes us hear the wind. Impressive, lightning, magical, strong impressions on stage. All this results in an atmospherically dense concert experience that unfolds an almost archaic strength and combines meditative instants with moments of pulsing energy. Really impressive!
