EBU competition – Finals

Finals of the EBU choir competition

This gigantic singing contest is organised every two years; in 2001, 23 choirs coming from nearly as many countries between Canada and Corea joined the preliminary round.

Chorus sine nomine, submitted by ORF, is part of the final passage and challenges choirs from i.a. Denmark, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Canada by presenting quite a demanding program (Hugo Wolf, Vytautas Miskinis, György Ligeti). The Chorus sine nomine, conducted by Johannes Hiemetsberger, can assert itself and wins the finals in the category of adult choirs.
